This policy explains how Cited collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website and services.
Cited (cited.travel) is an AI Discoverability service for travel and hospitality brands. We help travel management companies, destination management companies, online travel agencies, tour operators, and other travel brands understand and improve their visibility in AI search engines including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overview and AI Mode. We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, company name, travel segment, and any messages when you submit our contact or audit request form. We collect technical information automatically when you visit our website: your IP address (anonymised), browser type, pages visited, and referring URL via privacy-friendly analytics. We do not collect payment information directly — payments are processed by our payment provider.
We use your information to: respond to your audit or service enquiry and deliver your Cited Score; send you the report or results you requested; communicate with you about your account or service; improve our website and services based on aggregated usage data; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
We process your personal data on the following legal bases: Performance of a contract (to deliver the services you request); Legitimate interests (to improve our services and communicate with existing clients); and Consent (for any optional marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time).
We retain your information for as long as is necessary to provide our services and comply with our legal obligations. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months. Client account data is retained for the duration of the engagement plus 36 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@cited.travel.
Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure of your data; object to or restrict our processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@cited.travel. We will respond within 30 days.
We use essential cookies for website functionality and privacy-friendly analytics cookies (no cross-site tracking). You can control cookies through your browser settings. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
We use carefully selected third-party services: email delivery (to send you your Cited Score reports), analytics (privacy-friendly, no personally identifiable data shared), and payment processing (if applicable). We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
